Three of Ohio State’s top offensive players earned individual awards from the Big Ten while a total of four earned first-team All-Conferance honors, the league announced Wednesday. Junior quarterback J.T. Barrett was named the Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year, fifth-year senior center Pat Elflein was named the Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year while redshirt freshman running back Mike Weber was given the Thompson-Radle El Freshman of the Year award. Barrett finished the regular season with 2,428 passing yards and 847 rushing yards while scoring 33 total touchdowns to just five interceptions. During the season, Barrett became Ohio State’s all-time touchdown pass leader (69) and all time leader in touchdowns responsible for (100). Elflein, who chose to return to Ohio State instead of entering the NFL draft last year, switched from guard to center and he has anchored a solid Buckeye offensive line.
