There isn’t much time left in the season, which means there isn’t a lot of data left to enter into my rankings. That means that it is going to be difficult for anybody to catch Alabama Crimson Tide in the regular season here, and something else I discovered while doing some tinkering is that it might be hard to catch Alabama period. Let’s just assume that Alabama is going to beat Florida Gators in the SEC title game this week. I don’t think that’s asking too much, seeing as how the Tide is currently favored by three touchdowns over the Gators. If (once) that happens and Alabama goes to the College Football Playoff, even if it doesn’t win the national title, there’s a very realistic chance Alabama will remain on top of these rankings.
