Ratings: Michigan-Ohio State College Football Draws Record 16.7 Million

Saturday afternoon’s college football match-up between Michigan and Ohio State drew 16.65 million total viewers to ABC, making it the most-watched regular season game with a noon ET kickoff on record. The Buckeyes’ 30-27 win over the Wolverines also stands as one of the Top 5 most-watched regular season college football games ever. For ABC, it marks the most-watched college football contest in more than 10 years, since the 2006 Michigan-OSU match-up (with a 3:30 pm kickoff) drew north of 21 million viewers — the network’s largest audience ever for a regular season game. ABC now claims the two most-watched college football games this season, with Notre Dame-Texas (airing Sept. 4) placing second with just shy of 11 million viewers.
