For ABC, it marks the most-watched college football contest in more than 10 years, since the 2006 Michigan-OSU match-up (with a 3:30 pm kickoff) drew north of 21 million viewers — the network’s largest audience ever for a regular season game. ABC now claims the two most-watched college football games this season, with Notre Dame-Texas (airing Sept. 4) placing second with just shy of 11 million viewers.
