Michigan and Ohio State both deserve playoff spots


COLUMBUS, Ohio – Because there just wasn’t enough arguing during the presidential election, America is about to double down on disagreement when it comes to the College Football Playoff. Here’s what I know: Half of the field should be Ohio State and Michigan. Both punched their tickets Saturday in a classic installment of a glorious rivalry. We know Alabama is a lock. Invite Clemson or Washington, provided one or both win their conference title games. But leave room in the bracket for both the Buckeyes and Wolverines, even if neither of them play in the Big Ten championship game. With all due respect to the fine people of Madison, their cheese, their bratwursts, their beer and their football team – the second Big Ten team in the College Football Playoff after Ohio State should not be the Wisconsin Badgers.
