The Tide (9-0) outlasted LSU Tigers 10-0 on Saturday night — “We couldn’t score for three quarters and they couldn’t score for four,” Nick Saban told CBS sideline reporter Allie LaForce after the game — but there’s one huge test left before the SEC Championship Game. Auburn Tigers (7-2) powered through quarterback issues to defeat Vanderbilt Commodores 23-16 to remain in contention for the SEC West with just one conference loss (to Texas A&M). If the Tigers defeat Georgia Bulldogs in Athens on Saturday, they’ll enter the Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa with as much to gain as the Tide.
