The Ohio State football team is coming off its most impressive victory of the season.After crushing Nebraska 62-3, the Buckeyes have games against two collapsing teams — Maryland and Michigan State — before what promises to be an epic battle against Michigan on Nov. 26. It is a measure of Urban Meyer’s faith in his team that the Ohio State coach is not worried that it will overlook its next two opponents. Certainly, he is setting that example. Five times in his weekly news conference on Monday, he deflected questions by saying “Beat Maryland,” including twice when asked about the election. “For what?” he quipped. That insistence on eliminating distractions has been a priority since the upset loss at Penn State on Oct. 22.
