Curtis Samuel scored two straight touchdowns in the midst of Ohio State’s 62-3 romp over Nebraska on Saturday night, and today he was named a Big Ten co-offensive player of the week.The junior hybrid back from Brooklyn, N.Y., caught a one-yard jump pass from J.T. Barrett with three seconds left in the first half to stake the Buckeyes to a 31-3 lead at the break. Then he took off on a deep post the first play of the second half to haul in and finish off a 75-yard TD pass from Barrett 12 seconds into the third quarter.“It was great out there, just going out and making plays,” Samuel said of the night. “You know, my guys are right behind me, they’re making plays, too. I see the excitement on their face, and I do what do for them – for the guys on my team and for the coaches. I’m excited about what I do out there.”Samuel wound up with eight catches for 137 yards, and he rushed five times for 41 yards on Saturday night.
