COLUMBUS, Ohio — We’re halfway through the college football season, which means we’re getting a better sense of how the Ohio State Buckeyes are being viewed nationally. Ranked No. 2 in the Associated Press college football poll, the Buckeyes as a team have obviously had the nation’s attention. What about on an individual basis? Well we’re getting an idea of that as well with several national outlets releasing their mid-season All-American teams this week. With Ohio State having played six games, here are the Buckeyes that landed on mid-season All-American lists: • Sports Illustrated: OL Pat Elflein, OL Billy Price, LB Raekwon McMillan and SAF Malik Hooker. Second-team: QB J.T. Barrett. • CBS Sports: Elflein and Hooker. Urban Meyer was named mid-season Co-coach of the Year by CBS Sports. • USA Today: Elflein, Hooker and RB/WR Curtis Samuel • ESPN: McMillan and Hooker.
