NORMAN, Okla. — The start of Saturday’s Ohio State-Oklahoma game has been delayed until 9 p.m. ET because of weather concerns. At 6:15 ET, an announcement was made that “based on weather projections …” the game would be delayed. Kickoff had been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Weather radar showed a line of thunderstorms approaching Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium from the southwest. There were forecasts of hail. At approximately 6:20 p.m. ET, a strong thundershower struck the stadium. There had been periodic lightning as well. The game could start earlier depending on where the lightning is, according to Oklahoma’s AD.
