Staff Predictions: Ohio State Football vs. Oklahoma


The Ohio State Buckeyes travel to Norman, Oklahoma this week to face off against the #14 Sooners. After two lopsided victories against largely outmatched Bowling Green and Tulsa, the Sooners, led by quarterback Baker Mayfield, look to be the Buckeyes’ first true test of the 2016 college football season. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM (EST) on September 17, and will be televised on FOX. Read on for staff predictions. Patrick Wiley So far this season Patrick is 2-0 picking the results of Ohio State Football games. The Ohio State defense has been good this season. So good, in fact, that the Buckeye defense, which has accounted for 21 of the Buckeyes’ 125 total points this season, could technically have beaten both Bowling Green and Tulsa without the Ohio State offense scoring a single point. So far this season, the Ohio State defense has allowed only six total points – a measly field goal each for both Bowling Green and Tulsa. True freshman Oklahoma (back up) quarterback Austin Kendall, however, hasn’t been too impressed by the Silver Bullets’ gaudy defensive stats.
