College Football Week 2 Odds and Betting Trends

The Crimson Tide closed as 13-point favorites against USC and covered the spread easily, improving to 6-2 versus the number in their last eight games. This week, Alabama hosts the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers as 28.5-point betting favorites at sportsbooks in its home opener. While the defending national champions have been nearly unstoppable lately, they are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven home games. The Hilltoppers are riding a seven-game winning streak as well, covering five in a row following a 46-14 rout of the Rice Owls. Another top team that has been dominant recently but has also struggled at home at times is the Ohio State Buckeyes, who are coming off a 77-10 blowout of the Bowling Green Falcons in their season opener.
