Grading Ohio State Football's win over Bowling Green


Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer and the rest of the coaching staff had the team firing on all cylinders.  All three phases played well; there was not much rust even in the first game.  The Buckeyes won 77-10, and the young players got plenty of work against Meyer’s former team in Bowling Green.  Throughout the 2015 season, playing down to the opponent was an issue. One game is a small sample size, but this year feels much different with championship-or-bust expectations yet again. Offensive Grade: A+ Despite an early pick six thrown by junior quarterback JT Barrett, the offense was rolling all afternoon. Barrett set the school record for touchdowns in a single game with seven (six passing, one rushing).  It was a fitting start to what may be a Heisman campaign.  He got the ball out fast, en route to having a career-high 349 yards through the air. The most encouraging aspect of it was that he was using his whole array of receivers. Ohio State Buckeyes running back Mike Weber (25) is poised to be another NFL draft pick.
