The Bulldogs have new coordinators on both sides of the football, proving that fifth-year coach Tim DeRuyter won’t and can’t stand pat after a disastrous 2015. Will they make enough difference to at least give the Bulldogs a shot at a bowl? 2. It appears new offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau will try to focus on running the ball, which, if effective, could help Fresno State shorten games, give its woeful defense a break and keep the Bulldogs at least within striking distance. Pinning their hopes on Linebacker Jeff Camilli is the team’s leading returning tackler. He can play inside or out but would benefit from an improved defensive line that would allow Camilli, set back in fall camp because of a hamstring injury, to display his playmaking ability.
