11:42 AM ET Five-star defensive back Jeffrey Okudah began the summer with plans to announce his commitment in August. As the 6-foot-2, 197-pound versatile defensive back got closer to crunch time, the No. 8 prospect in the Class of 2017 decided to go through the official visit process before casting his lot with one of his six finalists: Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma, Florida State, USC and Georgia with Oho State remaining the favorite. “Out of my top six schools, I know I will be officially visiting Ohio State, Florida State, Clemson and Oklahoma for sure,” Okudah said on Tuesday. The No. 2 prospect in the Lone Star State has visit dates for Oklahoma (Sept. 17 for the Sooners showdown with Ohio State) and Florida State (Oct. 29 for the Seminoles game vs. Clemson) and is working to finalize plans for Clemson and Ohio State. “I’m working on a Clemson visit right now, but it will probably sometime in November, and Ohio State for the Michigan game possibly,” he said.
