The Ohio State football secondary should be an intriguing unit to keep an eye on. It’s a tall order for it to live up to last year’s, which generated three NFL players. Both starters at safety, Vonn Bell and Tyvis Powell, were essential to last year’s defensive scheme, and were rarely out of position. In addition, cornerback Eli Apple was taken with the 10th overall selection. This year’s group is lacking in the experience department. He has displayed sound ball skills, and has shown steady development in his two years of play. At 6’0, 195, he has NFL caliber size.
