The rankings come out at 10 a.m. today, and as one of the 65 failed prophets/?sports writers with a vote, here is my scientifically irrefutable … wild guess. I only ask two things of our dear readers: Know that, yes, I have it out for your favorite team and am a booster of all of your rivals! Also, please boil your eggs before throwing. 1. Alabama: Six straight top-ranked recruiting classes. Four national titles in seven years. We’re not picking against the defending champion Tide anytime soon. 2. Clemson: Expect the population of sleepy Clemson, S.C. to increase by about 16 Browns scouts this fall. One for every loss that will allow Cleveland to select Tigers quarterback DeShaun Watson with the No. 1 pick in next year’s NFL draft. 3. Michigan: Who has it better than Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines? Noooo-body. At least for the next two months — a stretch in which their only venture beyond the Big House is a trip to Rutgers. Michigan’s best team since 2006 should be 7-0 heading into its Oct. 29…
