Is Mike Weber ready to become Ohio State's next great tailback?

1:14 AM ET COLUMBUS, Ohio — Mike Weber had his moments to think about who came before him and what, exactly, that means. The Ohio State redshirt freshman watched Carlos Hyde bulldoze defenders when he was being recruited. He learned under the wing of Ezekiel Elliott for a year after he arrived. And if on the odd chance Weber needed a history lesson, any stroll into the practice facility would show him one with the Heisman Trophies on prominent display. The expectations that come with being the starting running back for the Buckeyes, and the legacy he is poised to inherit, hit Weber before training camp when it became apparent his time was about to arrive.
