COLUMBUS, Ohio -The Ohio State men’s basketball team will not participate in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007-08 season. Instead, the Buckeyes will host the Akron Zips in the opening round of the 2016 National Invitational Tournament. The Buckeyes are the third seed in their bracket, while Akron earned a number six seed. The game will be played on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Value City Arena. Ohio State University announced tickets for the public will go on sale at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14. Tickets can be purchased at the Athletic Ticket Office, ticketmaster.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000. The cost of tickets are $20 or $10 for reserved seating and $5 for students at Ohio State. Oregon received a surprising No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament, joining Kansas, North Carolina and Virginia with top billing.
