It has come to this for the poor Cleveland Browns: A poll this week of Ohio residents found an overwhelming majority believe the Ohio State Buckeyes would beat the Browns in a theoretical matchup. Yes, 57 percent of those polled thought the Buckeyes would win, versus only 23 percent who thought the Browns would prevail. The question came in a political poll released March 10 by publicpolicypolling.com. As the poll summary noted, “It’s patently ridiculous to think a college team could beat even so hapless an NFL team as the Browns, but that’s where we are.” At least there’s this tiny bit of good news for the Browns: 72 percent of poll respondents agreed the team should cut Johnny Manziel. Only 12 percent thought the team should keep him around. Our only question on those results — how could 16 percent be undecided on that issue?
