At some point every year, a college team is compared to an NFL team. It’s a silly ritual, but a very real ritual. This year it wasn’t during the season but after the year, as we prepare for the NFL Draft. And the comparison wasn’t Alabama to a specific NFL team, but rather Ohio State’s defense to the defense of an NFL team. And it was made by a real NFL scout! Appearing on NFL Network during Ohio State’s Pro Day on Friday, former scout Daniel Jeremiah said he was speaking with a current NFL scout who said he’d trade his “NFL defense” for the Buckeyes’ unit. “I was on the phone with [a scout] just the other day … he said, ‘I would trade our NFL defense right now for the Ohio State defense in a heartbeat.
