Urban Meyer endorses John Kasich in 2016 Presidential race (video)

Urban Meyer, who previously said he wouldn’t endorse a candidate, changed his mind and is backing Ohio Governor John Kasich in the 2016 race. As the 2016 Presidential race became a free for all just months ago with as many as 23 candidates running at one time for both the Democratic and Republican parities combined, Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer made it clear that he wanted none of it when it came to taking a side. Apparently, Meyer has a future in politics once he is done coaching the Buckeyes, because he has no problem changing his mind and going back on his word. Thursday, as the GOP prepares for their big debate before Tuesday’s primaries that could decide who the nominee will be, Meyer stepped up and got behind a candidate. Urban Meyer isn’t getting behind frontrunner Donald Trump or either U.S. Senator in the race, but instead will campaign for his boss in the Buckeye State, Governor John Kasich: Coach Urban Meyer (@OSUCoachMeyer) endorses John Kasich for President! Must-See Vid: “Go win this thing.”https://t.co/XlxgWpLtr3 — John Kasich (@JohnKasich) March 10, 2016 Urban Meyer has gone out of his way in the past to not take sides in a political race, making sure to compliment members of both parties during his time at Utah and Florida, where he was greeted at the White House by both former President George W. Bush and current President Barack Obama after winning national titles with the Gators. Many political insiders believe Kasich has relatively no shot of winning the nomination for the GOP during the primary season, though he is favored in several polls to take the state of Ohio when its citizens vote in the March 15th primary.
