Ohio State coach Urban Meyer endorses John Kasich before winner-take-all primary

The governor of the Buckeye State has the support of the Buckeyes’ head coach. Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer endorsed Republican John Kasich for president Thursday, telling the candidate in a clip that he and his wife Shelley “wish you well.” EX-YANKEE JOHNNY DAMON ENDORSES DONALD TRUMP “Go win this darn thing,” Meyer says in the video. Meyer, an Ohio native who largely kept his politics private until now, has helmed the Buckeyes since 2012 and led them to a national title in 2014. With an annual salary of $5.8 million, he is the state’s highest-paid public employee. The coach’s endorsement comes days before Ohio’s winner-take-all primary next week, which Kasich is counting on.
