Quarterback Braxton Miller’s career began with a bang as he exploded onto the field for “The” Ohio State Buckeyes as a true freshman. It only took a few games for Miller to impress his coaches enough to earn the starting job for the Buckeyes. He had an flashy career, with ups and downs (mostly downs) as a passer. Yet it was his dynamic playmaking abilities with his legs that helped him earn numerous accolades during his collegiate career. Miller would miss his entire junior season due to re-injuring his throwing shoulder during an offsesaon practice. This opened the door for J.T Barrett and eventually Cardale Jones to take the reigns as QB for the Buckeyes. Ohio State went on to win the National Championship that season, and with J.T and Cardale returning the following season to Columbus, Braxton Miller was seen as the odd man out on the Buckeyes depth chart. So for his senior season Miller made the decision to make the transition to wide receiver, rather than transfer to another school to play quarterback.
