Ohio State’s Adolphus Washington arrested, might miss Fiesta Bowl

The Ohio State Buckeyes might be without star defensive lineman Adolphus Washington, who was arrested for alleged solicitation.  Stay connected with FanSided When the Ohio State Buckeyes dropped out of the College Football Playoff following a loss to Michigan State, many thought that was the low point of their season. That very well may be true, but the hits keep on coming for the Buckeyes, who now face the reality of being without star defensive lineman Adolphus Washington for the Fiesta Bowl. According to a report, Washington was arrested and cited Wednesday evening with a first-degree misdemeanor charge of solicitation. Ohio State as said that they will handle things internally as far as investigation and punishment, but as of right now Washington’s availability for the Fiesta Bowl is unknown. Washington was one of the bright spots for the Buckeyes this season and has been garnering NFL Draft praise for his work on the field. It’s his actions off it though that are calling into question his character — as these sorts of things do with college players being scouted by the NFL. Washington may not have even done anything wrong, this is all alleged at this point in the story. But having a first-degree misdemeanor charge of solicitation levied against you isn’t a good way to let coaches at any level know that you’re tapped into the right side of the football mindset.
