Ohio State coach Urban Meyer is currently out on recruiting visits and will address Washington’s punishment when he returns to campus. The Buckeyes are scheduled to practice again Friday in preparation of the BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame. Washington was an integral member of an Ohio State defense that ranked No. 2 nationally in points allowed, contributing in almost every possible way during his final season with the program. The versatile lineman finished the year with seven tackles for loss, four sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one interception that he returned for a touchdown. Washington flirted with the idea of skipping his final season of eligibility a year ago, but his decision to return coupled with his impressive output on the field appeared to bolster his case as a potential first-round NFL draft pick next spring.
